Default ISO (T2i and Xsi)

I was just testing out a few things with two cameras- xsi and T2i(T2i borrowed from my brother). I realized that at the exact same iso, aperture, shutter speed, my xsi picture is darker than his T2i. Should I be concerned about the sensor?

I am also having some doubt as to AF as well. My lens kept on adjusting without being able to focus when I select only one focus point instead of the auto focus. (please keep in mind that, I am really new and it may just be my inability rather than my camera. Also being new, I may not really be describing the problem or terminology correctly)

Any thoughts?

I would not worry about the picture being darker. The in camera processing will not be the same so that can easily account for difference you see.

Im not sure how much difference the focusing is on these two bodies. I'm assuming your in One Shot Mode. When using single point make make sure its on an area that offers contrast. For example if you aim that single point at a solid color that lacks texture or some type of contrast, it might not be able to obtain focus and will hunt.
