Default t1i/500d shutter count?

Anyway of finding out the actual shutter count on a t1i / 500d?

no, there is no way that I know of. I have went though all the menus.

I long before forgot my shutter count in my Mark III...my only aim is to shoot another two years or may be three....untill it fails...no more bodies till my MK III is a DUD....

Nikon has the shutter count in EXIF and you can read it with software like Opanda EXIF viewer but to my knowledge, Canon does not include the info in the EXIF of consumer bodies. Not sure why they don't but its something that should have been added years ago.

I believe Canon Service Centers have the means to extract the info but they would need the camera itself of course.
