Default Case for 550d :)

Hi, (I don't know wether im posting this in the correct section, sorry if i have)

Im looking for a case for my 550d, I have a 18-55mm lens , 75-300mm, and 50mm lens. I would also like it to be able to carry my 15" Macbook Pro ideally.

I haven't a clue which case to buy as there are so many out there! I like crumpler cases because they don't really look like a camera case!

I don't mind if its a backpack or a shoulder case

Have you any experience with cases and the 550d?

Thanks,
Chris

I also love the crumpler line. to hold a laptop you would be into the 8 MDH. I carry the 6 MDH and it about right for my kit.

The crumpler MDH line will not hold a laptop. You will need to their other line the brazillion dollar home line. There is a laptop slot in the bag the the million dollar home do not have.

Cool They look so good and not like a camera bag! Which is good when your carrying lots of expensive equipment

Shoturtle, i don't mind at all, but i guess backpack or shoulder if i had to choose

I have 5 bag, the crumpler are really nice, but they are expensive. You will really want to get the brazillion dollar home if you go with a shoulder bag. I have the 5 and 6 million dollar home. And they will not carry my macbook pro.

For backpack style bag, the crumpler barge series are nice.

Also look at tamrac, kata, m-rock and lowepro. They all make quality bags.

The 8 MDH comes with a Laptop sleeve, but it is only for a 13" so it won't work.

That is a big bag the 8mdh. More then the OP needs for what he has currently. I can put my t1i, 70-300, 28-135, 50, 28, 85 into the 6mdh plus all the filters and other little stuff I carry.

Also a metz 48 flash, if I really want to over pack it the 6mdh

Agreed. I think that other alternatives would work better. You are a better packer than I on your 6MDH. I have my gripped T2i w/28-135 mounted, 70-200 F2.8, 1.4 extender, 85 and my metz Flash and that really fills the main body. I have room for one more lens (50 F1.4?) and that is about it. Little stuff I have tons of room for.
