I figured Canon would be releasing another budget SLR soon, and dang it looks sweet for the price. Glad to see the swiveling LCD screen - nice for outdoor tripod setups.

Oh and Donald, DPReview made a mistake originally - it is the 1100D.

think that the poster confuse the t3 with the t3i

Yes - completely different cameras with greatly different sensors.

shoturtle, one thing i do like about the T3 is C/A mode. You tell is how you want the picture to turn out and it does the rest. I dont think the XS had that.

Yeah that feature was not in the xs, it came out later on.
