I only have 2 real canon hood, as canon japan included them. But all lenses from canon USA does not include them. So I ebay them form HK, and they were in my mail box 2 weeks later. They work just like the real canon ones. Most do not include the black felts. But that is really not important. My canon hoods with the felt always pick up dust. And I have to be careful to rub it off carefully. The ebay ones, are simple wipe and done.

Tonight is going to be the slowest night ever!
My camera should arrive tomorrow at 3.

I hope I'll be able to sleep

Welcome to the 60D club - i got one not long ago and love it - every day i pick it up i find something new.

if you want some cool tips I did the free photography course by Karl Taylor and picked up some cool ideas, tips and pointers... check it out. He works with canon bodies so its pretty easy and familiar to change settings and the like.

I got my sd cards yesterday.... my camera arrived a day late. I got it today, and I am totally blown away.
My macro lens arrived as well... but I havent touched it yet. I'm going to wait until I become more familiar with my camera and current lens first.
My graphics tablet should come tomorrow...

Thanks for the suggestion about the free course. I'm going to check that out. I need all the info I can get.

i know we all worry about "free" not being really free. So i tried this offer just now. Looks ok. after an couple of auto-emails back and forth, I was watching videos. They seem very well done to me. I'm recommending the series to a friend who just yesterday upgraded to dslr. he has lots to learn and this series covers a wide area of knowledge.
