Default 500d display sensor - the little black cover

Hi,

My son was using my camera and it came home with the little black cover missing from the display sensor...

Does anyone know were I can get a replacment??

I'm not really sure if this it what you're looking for, but if you mean the eye cup that surrounds the viewfinder, look on the Canon accessories page under Dioptric Lenses (http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consum...AndAccessories). You can probably find some third-party versions online. If it's something completely different, sorry I misunderstood.

Under the view finder there are two little black rectangles, one of those is missing

So, exactly what you asked about before I started assuming you didn't know what to call things? The sensors that turn the display off when you hold the camera to your eye? Sorry I doubted you, and how the heck did you lose one of those?

only way to replace that is to send it into canon service. You call it the 550D so you are not in the US, if you brought it in the EU it does have a 2 year warranty and will be covered form the canon service center.

Dint know my friend... My son lent it for the day and returned it with the cover missong
