Default T2I/550D flash question

Hi all.
I'm looking at a flash and was wondering if this would work good on my T2I and would it be a good first flash as I can't afford much but at this price range it would be a perfect price.
Any thoughts on this model? and thanks for any help offered.

It is not a great flash, I would spend the extra 30 dollars for the sigma. And I am not a fan of sigma flashes.

In the $50-150 range, you can get the Nissin Di622 and the
Yongnuo ETTL flashes.

You might be interested in this thread where DonalDuc tests

If he is around at the moment, maybe he can give us a report
on the long term reliability of the YN-467.

hello
go nissin or better still metz
sigma is good till you upgrade then i had probs
my sigma works fine on my older canon elaN 7e
worked fine on my rebel xsi
but once i upgrade the software it overexposed 75% of my shots
someone in this forum told me that metz and nissin pay canon for licencses thats why they work better
if you dont have the cash right away the wait and save up and then buy one
trust me in the long run you wont regret it
good luck
pete

YN is the best of the low cost flash, and I would look at the yn468 with the lcd display. It is not much more then the yn467. But if you go with yn, try to get the upgrade models with the metal foot, the yn plastic foot were prone to breaking. But YN will send you a replacement foot if you contract them. But do not follow their guide numbers, they are really off. Not nearly as powerful as they try to make it seem.

The nissin di622 is a nice flash, and you can get it on ebay from hong kong, and not worry about warranty as they have an international warranty policy.

Sigma is mid grade.
