Default 50d with 15-85 vs 5dmkii with 24-105 comparison help?

I currently own a 50d, 15-85, 85mm, 50mm, 18-55 and 55-250. Over the last two years I mostly shoot basketball , but my son is injured and might not play his final two years of college...so I am thinking of changing up, also got approval for Christmas from boss(wife)...thinking of a 7d or go the ff route, and for the price get a 5dmkii....
What do you think. With the current setup would I see a difference, with a 7d or 5d,,,,or wait till spring and see what canon new release might be?

'Full Frame' has only a few genuine advantages over 'APS-C' and you haven't mentioned anything that might make my think you could benefit from any of them, and you've got a few excellent 'APS-C only' lenses that wil cost quite a lot to replace with 'Full Frame' equivilents.

AF on the 5DII is not great compare to a 7d. And since you shoot sports the better AF will be a big advantage. Also the burst rate of the 5DII does not match the 50D you currently have. So it my hinder you a bit with almost 2fps slower.

Yeah, thanks. I think I have the upgrade bug, and also my wife said go buy a camera for,Xmas. I,just kinda feel 7d is not that much of a upgrade"for me"

I am really not in a rush, and figure maybe wait and see what new releases come out. Of course my wife will say I don't need it at that time
