Default In the is that not special department

In the is that not special department 1.

Canon (and Nikon) have recently changed their policies on cross border shopping.
For instance B&H will no longer ship canon or nikon DSLR to Canada and the Canadian shops won't them ship to US addresses.
They still will ship lenses and accessories.

Probably has to do with warranties or something as Canon Canada will no longer accept bodies with US serial numbers for service.
They used to service anything with a North American warranty.

In the is that not special department 2.

Sort of saw this coming with the new minimum advertised price policies at canon.
There was a 3 day sale at one shop this past weekend the canon Rebel t*i's with the kit lenses were selling for the standard canon set fixed price.
But they were throwing in a nice Kureg coffee machine (about 100$ retail value) in with the kit.
So now when you go to buy a camera you need to decide what nice bit of fluff you want to get with it to make it a good deal.

Great just what I needed, I already have 3 different coffee machines on the counter.
Wonder what fluff will be offered with the pro level bodies to make the deals more attractive.

Ha, ya

Figured with the new fixed advertised pricing policies stores would have to find some way to differentiate their "deals" from all the other stores having sales.

Maybe with the pro stuff they could throw in a 7 or 10 inch tablet, like the Asus ones the price range would fit. And it would be a more useful toy.
