the 7d is the same vintage as t2i but it does have a better body and 2 digic processors so twice as fast. imho i would look at the 70d or see what happens next year when a 7d mk2 should come out

My 7D works like a champ and there is no real reason for me to upgrade or change to a newer camera. That said, I really like some to the new goodies on the 70D and can't wait to see what the 7DII or 5DIV will have to offer when released. I may not be the best photographer around but I think I'm at the top of the list for buying new gear. At least with the wife getting the 70D (upgrading from a T1i), I will be able to play with it for a bit. That is if the wife doesn't smack my hand when I try to take it from her hot little hands.

After some more reading I'm leaning back to the 70D. They're saying it has a better sensor for low light than the 7D and a bunch of other improvements. I also read that it does have some weather sealing. Also if I get the 70D then I'll be right up to date on the latest technology and then I'll be a cool dude.

Yes, that is true and why my wife is worried that I will take the 70D from her when it gets here in September. I just might take it too.

Canon release date is 09-24-2013. That date is driving my wife nuts.

You must be single or a very brave man. I'm going to just keep smiling and telling her it will be here soon.

Well the fun is starting now. The wife just received a e-mail that her 70D has shipped and should be here in about five days. There will be no peace in our house for the next few weeks.
