Default Aspect Ratio

Went from T4i to 70D. need help finding how to set aspect ratio. Instruction manual says Raw is always 3:2, but jpeg's have several aspect settings, I can't find how to set.

We only shoot RAW, so I can't help you those settings.

We usually use LR4 and CS6 or PSE11 for PP. Until LR4 gets updated to read 70D RAW files we are using Canon DPP.

I have no real opinion about the camera as my wife hasn't let me touch it yet. So far she loves the 70D, speed, IQ, size all work great for her. She having a bit of learning curve getting use to the all the focus zones settings. Something she didn't have to deal with on her T1i she used for the last four years. I find that the pictures require less PP than my 7D and the sharpness, color and all around IQ is great.

Geez..... I feel let down ! The way you had the little guy jumping up and down on the couch back in August in anticipation of delivery, I expected something different.....

I'll bet it is a handful of learning curve. All the best with the adventure !

with only 2 shoots under my belt(hockey) just basically setting up the same as my t2i and going from there (shooting in Manual ) and the rest of the factory setting .It has a way bigger keeper rate than my t2i .I am very impressed so far!

Good to hear you are having good luck with the 70D.
I made the mistake of letting my wife use my Canon M, now she is biting at the bit to get one of the new M's coming out or a Sony A7 (full frame NEX style). She has decided that carry around the 70D with lenses and flash is just too heavy. So now I have to decide weather to keep my 7D or the 70D for myself. I will sell one of them along with a barely used Canon T1i.
