Default 450D: viewfinder red af dots barely visible?

Hello,
I saw a great deal on a 450D/XSI on ebay. Problem is, seller states the red dots in the viewfinder for autofocus are hardly visible....? Are they already kinda difficult to see? I'm not sure what that could mean. I did ask a few times for a description and thats all the seller could come up with. Price $137.50 w/FS.

Perhaps he/she's used to something with bigger AF points or compact/bridge type square AF areas...?
Ask them if they've had it long- and if so has this "issue" got worse over time.
