Looks great with my Canon 70-200 L lens.:-)

I do have a couple questions. (So far)
1. I looked at my firmware version, it's quite out of date compared to what's on Canon's site. How do I update the firmware?

2. Is there a way to make the SD card the primary card and the CF the backup?

Edit: For #2 I looked in the manual on pages 92-94, but if it says it there I couldn't figure it out.

Second Edit. I downloaded and unpacked the new firmwared. The directions are right there in the folder.

I just noticed this post. Yes, they include the instructions in the download.

Your timing is really great if you just happened to look for new firmware, since Canon just posted the new Version 1.04 Firmware for the 7D Mark II yesterday, and issued a Service Bulletin about it this morning (May 14, 2015).

We posted a news article about it earlier today here:

thanks Jim. I had seen a flurry of posts about new firmware yesterday.
However, since the instructions are included in the download, my questions is down to this.
*** Can I make the SD card the primary and the CF card the backup?
<I looked in the manual on pages 92-94, but if it says it there I couldn't figure it out.>

EDIT: My question about the card switch was answered in another forum.
Press the Q button and choose the card

I don't think that I'm going to flash the FW before the weekend, I looked at the release notes, nothing specifically applies to me.
Primarily though, it's because I have a dog agility trial to shoot this weekend and I want to use the camera...:-)
I'm so jazzed about the 10 fps and the high iso! I had a 50 D before this, the 7D came out but I didn't get it, I was just "meh", it didn't seem like that big of a deal.
Whereas, in the MkII, it seems like the important things (to me), have come down from the ID, only the resulting camera is much lighter and cheaper.
It just checked all of the boxes for me.:-)
