Ah the Tax man commeth...

We get till the end of April to file.
Or the Tax man comes to visit at the front door,
and the Grim Reaper comes a knocking at the back door,
and a BATF helicopter lands on your roof.

Or EVEN worse, a notice of audit comes........

Coming from the guy who just posted questions asking what the P, M, "Green Square" modes are for .... I am still laughing... go read your manual before you even attempt a witty quip .... In other words place your brain in the "Read" mode ... scan the entire manual ... rather then just page 72 .....

Well as one who is guilty of posting a question asking for advise and opinions I actually agree with some of what you say. Comparing Specs is only a very small part of it, in fact if that were all I'd be off to the Nikon shop. I respect the experiance of others who have been in this hobby longer than I and all I ask is a little tolerance and advice.

The solution to your problem is given in some of the replies.... dont look at those threads, its very easy.

I did like the fact that in your Sig you ask "Nikon D70 to buy or not to buy?" Do you really want an answer to that?

By the way has anyone heard when the 10d will be replaced?
Is the Drebel really better than the D70?

Really these questions will keep being asked time and time again and rightly so I just hope there are still enough people like ohenry around to help out.

As far as I can see the 10d will be replaced by the new improved 10D.

And my spys have discovered the the Drebel and D70 are actually the same camera made by a little company in eLbonia, the only difference at retail is the final paint job, the designer label stuck to the front of it, and the custom mount insert that makes it only accept a particular type of lense.

The way it is going it looks like the only ones answering the neverending-question(tm) asked by the newbies are other newbies who also haven't yet figured out what they want, but are willing to freely give advice. :P

 Then there are some who take the dogbert/catbert approach and are willing to dispense large amounts of free bad advice just to see who takes it.
 Mua-HaHaHa.

Sitting here reading all of this & listening to Tony Rice & getting a good laugh this morning.
Hmmm - maybe I'll get in on the "thingy"
The Digital Rebel is really a 10D in Silver minus 115 buttons & switches & has a funky lens that you can or cannot buy with it.
It is actually made in Wong Chow by immigrants from South America.
The 1Ds is a 110 camera in a Fake shell. Sold only at K-Mart with a New Tenba bag line designed Exclusively by Martha Stewart.
Ooops - must be the music

I mention this to prevent myself from posting an actual reply, now if you have no objections, I'll go back to reading my downloaded D70 manual and get over myself..
