Current price for the 10D and in stock at onecall.com now is $1,300, $200 less than the Nikon D100 giving the indication that the new Canon 10DN is going to join the DSLR markets soon.:-)

I agreed, there has been a recent price reduction of around $400Aust in Melbourne for the 10D. I suspect the new 10D mkII should appear byOctober. I guess the new 10D would retain the 6MP but of couse with new CMOS andhigher speeds in everything plus better focusing and exposure metering. The vertical grip may become integrated as one unit though.
