As a fathers Day / anniversary gift, my wife got me a Digital Rebel. I haven't got a chance to check it out because of bad weather yesterday. I am on my way out the door to go to the Black Forest in the southern part of Germany. I am hoping to get a few good shots while I am down there.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"After taking about 50 or so play around pictures, I have to say that the transfer rate from camera to computer is amazingly slow. I don't know why Canon didn't use USB 2.0 instead of 1.1. What does everyone else do for transferring? Any help would be great.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Today, I put the Digital Rebel up against my Sony F717. I have a feeling I will be putting a Sony F717 up for sale soon, anyone interested?

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Thanks for all the input on the Digital Rebel and also to Steve for all the reviews he has done. It really helped me make my decision.

I use a SanDisk Imagemate Card reader. Reads 5 different types of memories, so I also use it for my MMC card from my MP3 player. Extremely fast and user friendly. Love it!1 Bought it at BH Photo for 29.99.
