Default Canon EOS 1Ds - Official Specs, Photos, etc. !

Everything is out. All the information can be found at www.digitalfocus.net. Seems Canon decided to pre-empt Photokina and post it all!

Well it looks like the Kodak DCS Pro-14n undercut the EOS by $2000 with a higher 14Mpixels... Interesting time indeed!

an obvious opening for Olympus to udercut all of this with a new dLR built around a smaller chip!

if the info is correct it's more like $5000 undercut if the $9000 canon price is not a typo. gee!!! 2 for the price of one with change too.

Well we always have the SD-9 that undercut them all ($1800), with the controversial small Foveon 10+Mpixels CCD...

lets group them properly. there now are the full frame models and then there are the others. the sigma is not full frame. i.7 factor. to the others group for it.

I sure hope Oly knows how to price this one... It starts to look like a sitting duck (if only 5M?) with the D7Hi/5700 on the bottom and the SD9/D100/D60 on top!

... with the EOS-1Ds and the Kodak Pro14n @ the high-end... Very interesting Xmas season coming up...
