Default Waiting for the D60

So they tell me the D60 is being shipped.
I pre-ordered a while ago. I understand limited volume. Need to hear that some folks are getting them. It would be encouraging.

The info on the camera sounds great.

Waiting impatiently.

Phil, had mine for about 3 months and the wait was well worth it. Been waiting for a camera like this for 5 years.

Waiting impatiently also. Glad to hear you are pleased...looking at some of the sample shots is a tonic for me.

Originally pre-ordered with Ritz - cancelled 5/20 and ordered with B&H, NYC. Got a better feel, but realise I still have a wait (est. 2-4 weeks, but who knows?) I hear Canon production has been stepped up to meet demand. Hope so...

I made the original posting. The shipping person must have been preping it at the same time.

It arrived today. Took a couple shots. They look great. Now time to learn the menus, settings, etc.

Congrats!

I've had my D30 for almost exactly a year now and I love it! I've taken almost 12,000 shots with it and it shoots like a champ. (I sure would like a D60 though)

Default Got My D-60

I pre-paid about May 13, which Helix said would put me higher on the list than pre-ordering. I got my D-60 about a week ago. I wouldn't have done that with any other supplier, but they have a local store, and I trade there a lot. They are coming through - slowly.

Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to get out with it yet, but the feel is impressive. I never liked the feel of my Elan 7. I'm an old Nikon user. The D-60 this feels much more like a Nikon. I'm delighted.

Lovely to hear of D60's arriving to welcoming hands! I have to be out of the country for about two weeks, and we all know Murphy's Law will apply - that's when UPS will try to deliver

Good shooting to those who have received their D60's !!

I ordered my D60 from Ritz on 8/27 and it looks like it's getting ready to ship on Monday. The estimated ship date has been changed several times, but today it moved *closer*, which I view as a good sign. We'll see Anyway, I've talked to the people at Ritz several times and I know they've been shipping D60's every two weeks or so.

They're shipping, there's just alot of people that want them.

Patiently waiting,
Norm
