hello

i want to know what are the focusing distances close up and far awaywith the EF 18-55mm f/3.5 - 5.6 zoom lens

how good is this camera in low light conditions-does the picture look dark?

close up shots-are they white washed with the flash?

1. go to canonusa.com and read the specs yourself...

2. this is one of the cheap and slow lens, of course, in low light, without proper light aids, the result will not be great, still you can take good picture if you know how...

3. depending on the technique of how you arrange the flash of light, macro flash is highly recommended.

If the picture is dark, you didn't expose the image properly. This is a function of the photographer, not the camera.

Any flash taken at close range will likely overpower the scene without exposure compensation or bouncing the flash off a reflective object. Again, this is a function of properly setting up the shot.
