and...http://www.calumetphoto.com has the 10D body and free 4 years extended warranty for $1,299. Canon'x next press release is gonna be hot...

I hope it is hot so they'll drop the 10D in price some more and I can buy one before they're gone (just bought it, see below). Unless the improved 10D is 10 or more megapixels I really wonder how much better the new model would be. 8 Megapixels, which is probably more like what it'll be, in combination with ETTL-II is a minor change compared to what's available new now, unless the new camera is also cheaper and I think we all know what the answer to that will be.

I've just ordered my 10D as of today (7/30/04), so my Digital Rebel is nowslated to become my backup. Things now are as they should be. I've been using a film SLR for backup. Not a good thing when someone prefers their pictures be done digitally, but it was the best I could do up to now.
