I have a digital rebel with the kit lens and a 90 to 300mm lens. Now I would like another lens, something suitable for macro and also able to shoot other shots. What would be a good cheap choice and also a good more expensive choice??

I have the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens and can attest that it is a very capable macro lens as well as a great 100 mm prime.

I have heard good comments regarding Tamron's 90mm macro

Cheap EF-50 f/1.8 II -> more expensive EF-50 f/2.5 macro (for 1/2 the distance)
