my 20d came with the latest firmware and the 17-85 lens. im using a 1gig lexmar pro 80x card and the damn thing froze up on the the first time out. but contrary to the early firmware problems, i turned it off and then back on and it cleared the error msg and the problem...................

i contacted canon and they said with my situation i should not have experienced the problem and to watch it and see if it happens again............

i was a little erratic on the shutter and may have caused the problem myself

Hi,

Took my camera out yesterday, with my 100-400L Lens lockups galore, switched battery, CF Card and lens to my 70-200L, no lockups so was happier.

Did the upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.5, put my lens etc back on and 78 pictures of my mate and his lad motocrossing - no locks up.

IMO upgrade regardless!

Cheers,
Carl.
