When the successor or upgrade to the 20D is released, what do you think the name (designation) will be?

It went from:

D30 > D60 > 10D > 20D > ?

How's about 50D? 11.1 Megapixel?
I hope to all hope that Canon will not name it 30D, cause that will be quite confusing.

I like 'EOS 50D', sounds right to me.

d30 is long gone from the lineup, the 20d is too new to speculate on a successor.

Just making a guess, I'd think maybe something like a 44dd??

Pete, if you're right with that name then I'm sure that Kalypso will make some very good use out of one.... :-)* (also ducks and runs).

Ok, I needed that laugh (even if a bit crude.) I've been working too hard.

personally, I don't think that Canon even knows what the name is yet. I bet its still refered to by a code word.

Eye AF control would be great. Oh, yes. I'd love that.

I hope they put it in the 1D MkII's replacement. That is my next camera. I don't really see a reason why they couldn't... they already have it in a film camera. But I don't claim to know how it works, so maybe there is a reason why not.

i think that it works by bouncing an infrared beam off your cornea and measuring the angle and time it takes to return.. anyone feel free to correct me..

the only reason i was thinking that it is not included on the dSLRs is that maybe it would be too big of drain on an already taxed battery.. but that is speculation..
