Will the kit lens with the Rebel XT be any good for macro shots? Or should I skip the lens and buy the body only? What two lenses would you recommend if you were going to buy two? Most of my pictures will be landscape, some macros and the odd wildlife shot. Also, this will be my first digital slr so I am quite new to dealing with the options on and for this type of camera.

Thanks

The 18-55 is a general purpose lens, it can do some degree of close up, but not nearly as good as a dedicated macro lens. The focusing distance is about 1.5 feet or so If I remeber correctly for the 18-55.
