Does the XT come with software to handle RAW files and correct whitebalance? If not, what software can you recommend?

Thanks

Yep! Just load the software from the supplied disk. Load the Canon Digital Photo Professional and you are in business. You can also visit the canon website and download the software.

For now the Canon software is all you have access to with the Rebel XT and RAW files. Third-party makers are going to now have to write the programs to support the XT. Canon does not release info on new models to those folks in advance- they are just like you and me.

Both Bibble and BreezeBrowser Pro just added Rebel XT raw support too.
