IMHO the Quantum wireless system is also not compatible with the Canon (unlike the Sigma which are done through IR/flash pulses). They are done through RF like the Metz's and work among themselves rather than with Canon's (your 580EX) like the Sigma does - It'll work but not as seamlessly like Canon/Sigma's - some 'manual' adjustment may be required :shock:

I use the pocket wizard wireless system and works great with the Canon. I use Quantum flashes.

That's exactly what I meant - The Canon is lighly different, and you can control ratio or exposure compensation all from the master unit which is on the camera as well: http://eosseries.ifrance.com/eosseries/en/flashwork/

i.e. No Pocket Wizard required (although you have more range this way)!
-> you do the metering vs the metering in the camera controlling all the slaves!
