Hey, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I just got my 20D the Thursday before Easter. I've shot around 1,500 photos since then. I'm glad there are those of you out there who have been using a digital for a while. I'm new to it. I own an Elan7e and an old Olympus 35mm SLR system.

I have to say that since I switched to Canon from my old olympus system. I've been pleased. And so far in the week I've had my 20D I'm pleased and thankfull that I don't have to pay for film any more. I can shoot away and not worry about cost!!! and with the 2GB memory card I don't have to be that worried about space either.

I hope you guys have as much fin with photography as I do.

:-)Enjoy the daylight! and Use a Tripod at night and you'll allways be happy!!:-)

Holy Cow... 1500 shots in a week??? Have you tried sleeping or working? I just passed 1100 shots since November! Sounds like you're really enjoying your new 20D. :-)

That is one of the reasons I picked the 20D over the XT.

As for working tutor at an elementary school and Sleep about 5 hours a night. And attend college. Between Work, tutoring, and Sleep I find time to take photos. Carry my camera with me 24-7

Matthew, welcome to the 20D shooters who get little sleep club:| I've had mine since late January and only managed about 600 shots...guess I get a bit more sleep than you do.

Five weeks now, I think, and I have taken over 3100 pictures. I put some in my digital newspaper and have already received comments on how good they look. I have been digital for about 8 years or so, but before that was on an OM-2S program outfit that is about to go to eBay. Sad to see it go, but it does no good sitting in a cabinet.

Minus the pics I deleted, I have shot 1,293 pictures, since I got the camera almost 2 weeks ago. How can you not take a lot of pictures. On Easter, I think I was shooting @ ISO 800, indoors and the flash recharged in a little under a second. I held my finger down and kept photographing my nieces and nephews (who were all hopped up on soda and candy!). I shot 410 pics last night at Ringling Brothers in Madison Square Garden. I definitely need a faster lens, I have the 17-85mm EF-S. I got some good shots, but I was shooting at ISO3200 and some are blurry. I also have the 2 gig card (Lexar 80x). Now I am in the market for a flash. People have been talking that the Metz is the best.

I've had my 20D for about 3 months now and I'm well over 10000 shots in. I sometimes shoot over 1000 pics in a day with something like hockey or soccer
