how does it attach to the camera? Is it strudy? Do the buttons still work, etc?

Have you used it would you recommend it?

That's the first I have seen that. IMO, unless you have a real need for a sunshade for the LCD it's a solution without a problem. As far as protecting the LCD, get a good, padded case and just use a bit of care and common sense. it might work if you are roungh on teh LCD or have so many piercings that they might scratch it '' Remember that the plastic over the LCD IS a protection and easily replaced- see:

Also, that protection device you linked to is atached with sticky tape- Uchhh!

Yeah I decided that the hood would hinder me from viewig the previews faster. So I just put some clear Duck Tape brand invisible packageing tape on the screen. I've used this tape on my cell phone, pager, PDA, etc without any problems. It comes right off.
