I'm interested in the EOS 350D (D Rebel XT) and note that it's available with an 18-55mm lens in a Canon kit.

Does this mean that the lens is actually equivalent to 18-55mm at 35mm, or would a conversion factor apply as it does with other lenses when used on digital cameras?

Yes the conversion factor of 1.6 still has to be accounted for with this lens.

Thanks, Paul.

Do you know what the exact conversion factor is (i.e. x1.X)?

Cheers, GGW2000, that's very helpful. Just for future reference, how did you find that out?
