Has anyone tried the Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 APO Macro Super II lens for doing macro photography with the Canon 20D?

Also, when doing macro photography, do I need to set the scene mode to macro along with the lens to macro or simply set the lens and use the Canon 20D in "P" mode?

How many answers do you need?

I you're unfamiliar set it to macro - but you'll need a lot of light... or a tripod
