meh, the topic got cut off, it should read, a Comparison between a 20D and a 1D Mark II.

I've looked and looked on the main site, comparing the 20D to the 1D Mark II, and everything from the 1D Mark II just looks so much crisper and brighter. And then I looked at the lenses that were used.

So what I'd like to see is the same image shot with the same lens from these two bodies. If someone can do this, you'll be my hero for a day.

I am greatly torn between these two cameras, and I'm hoping the image quality is almost identical from the 20D, as it's my first choice, and $2000 cheaper

http://www.outbackphoto.com/reviews/...0D_review.html

look under the 10/5/2004 date...

i think you will be hard pressed to see a difference.. =)

so unless you need the 8fps and the slightly brighter viewfinder... that 2000 bucks could buy a couple nice lenses =) imho

I've seen alot of tropic about thsi on the forums lately. So you might want to search at find it. I think that you might like to save the 2,000 buck, unless you absltuly want a full frame DSLR. I've seen a site in the past that had what you are looking for. I'll tey to google it for you. It said that the image quality is actually about the same, ithe wide angles the 20D was better, b/c it's ratio factor cropps of the distortion of the wide angle lenses.

just an addendum to matthew's comments..

the 1dmkII is actually not a full frame camera, it uses a 1.3x's crop factor... you would have to step up the 1ds series to get full frame.. .. for another 4000 dollars..
