I have recently bought a Rebel XT Black Body. The finish gets scratched and dusty very quickly. Any suggestions on how to keep clean?

Wipe it off with a slightly damp cloth.

As for scratches, these things happen!

Thanks for the response. I know it is a dumb question but I can't believe the finish is so different than the 35 MM Black body cameras from Canon that I previously owned that never had the same problem. Anyhow, thanks.

How did you get the camera so scratched up?
I carry mine in a plain canvas bag (old Marine gas mask bag) that's just big enough for the camera and one lens.
I don't even get any rubbing (what in the old days used to be called brassing).
I also wear a hat when I take pictures and if I have to put the camera down on the ground to change lenses, etc., I put my hat down first, and lay the camera on that. Especially in sandy terrain.
