My first Digital SLR camera... and WOW... thats all i can say... STUNNING photos.

I have an old nikon FM10 film camera, and this is reminding me what it was like going from a $10 point and shoot to that. My Powershot A80 took shots just as good as the Nikon, but this is in an entirely new league. I guess what I'm saying is, if you have been questioning if you should buy this camera and you're a novice such as myself, my opinion is a resounding YES!

I just bought the XT a week ago and i'm extremely impressed with it as well. It definately takes beautiful photographs and is a great value for the money. I do have a lot to learn though, SLR's have so much more to them than anything i've used before.

oh absolutely, i'm really glad i bought that full manual SLR all those years ago. Forcing myself to do settings for every picture i took back then really pays off now.

But even without setting, i've found that even the auto mode does a really good job.
