I know... I thought of that too. I want to hold out for its replacement... but I might never want to go back.

I'm going up to Damariscotta, Maine. There is a wide harbor that has a fish lader that helps them into the river. On a good day there are tons of fish and tons of osprey (with a few eagles thrown in for fun.) I can't wait!

Sounds great! Too bad that Maine isn't exactly close for me....

I'm still on a 10D. I've decided to skip a generation and wait for the 30D (or whatever it is going to be called). I find it hard to justify investing in a $1500 body every year and a half or so. I rather put the money in a lens.

Ya, I wasn't going to get the 20D, but I was able to sell my 10D for about $750. Then it seemed more like a reasonable price.

I was going to wait for the 1D MkII's replacement (and keep the 10D) until that seller came along asking me about my 10D. Good kid. 16 years old and is going up to photograph the Osprey too. Wouldn't have been able to get it and the 100-400 except that I saved him some money on it.
