Did anybody use this lens Tokina Zoom Telephoto AF 80-200mm f/2.8 AT-X 828AF Pro Autofocus, andwhat is your impression about this lens? Are picture sharp on both end of focal length? Looks like a fast lens any trouble shooting on low light condition, general impression about construction and durability, happy or not with this lens? Please do not send me to web sites who did comparison about lenses etc. I need opinion from people who own and use this lens. Thank you.

a better choice would be sigma's 70-200 2.8 EX HSM... it offers faster af speed and in general seems to be sharper wide open.. the non-DG version can be had for 679 at sigma4less.com.. if you want hte DG version its 749.. either would serve you quite well..

I feel my low priced EF 55-200 is sharper than this Tokina.

gonna have to disagree with ya here..

this tokina compares optically quite favorably to the best of the 70-200 2.8s by canon, sigma, etc.. the only drawback to this lens is its AF speed and noise.. if you can live with a little slower AF and a little noise, this lens could be a good choice for you..
