I was wondering about the compatibility between 350D, Sigma 135-400 APO F4.5-5.6 and Kenko Pro 300 2x converter. Will they work together? When 2 stops light reduction is introduced by the TC, what will happen to the 350D's autofocus function? I thought the camera could even do autofocus at F22 and above. :?

sorry man, the 350d as well as the 20d will only focus to 5.6... so you will more than likelyhave to go to manual focus.. some 3rd party converters will work above 5.6, such as tamron's, but its hit or miss and the focus can be pretty bad..

you can also try taping the contacts.. but again AF is going to be slow and imprecise..

Thank you Hards80. When the TC is used and resultant aperture may become
F16(?), will this value affect only the amount of light, will it affect the depth of
field? I am concerned about a deep DOF may not isolate birds from the background
well. :?
