Yes, you could be right, my brother just sent it to me. Nice job though, the language threw me. Any ideas Steve? The forums out there are buzzing. ThereĀ“s even talk of a minor upgrade to the 1D MKII, the "N" version?

Well, the pdf is definitely a fake. There is a line joining can and Canon in the title block, and the specifications are in English while the rest of the text isn't.

The sensor size is what has been speculated on all of the boards ... but I don't think you will see any "genuine" brochures before there is a press release. This document was created by a guy named Jim Bowes on August 8th. All pdf's that I have seen regarding DSLR's from Canon have the Author Name left blank.

This looks to be the guy that did this:

http://www.aabc.nl/sponsor_individua...3ed94f20b198dd

This is from the metadata of the document:

<pdf:Author>Jim Bowes</pdf:Author>
<pdfx:Manager>Mariska van Geel</pdfx:Manager>
<pdfx:Company>cayenne communications</pdfx:Company>

Their company looks to have done some stuff for Canon in the past ... but this doesn't look professional enough to be the real deal.

Sigh more rumor mongering.
I suspect someone is spreading these rumors in a futile attempt to try to get the price of the 20d to drop. Canon won't allow that.:G .

For the Future:
I'd be much happier if Canon (and others) gave up on the next to pointless mega-pixel race in the DSLR's and came out with a mid-level full frame 5 or 6 mega-pixel camera with a high 8 - 11 stop dynamic range. Basically a reduced version of what the Medium Formats are doing.

:cart: Leave the race to crowd ever an increasing density of cross-talking photosites onto tiny chips to the point&shooters, who are also highly impressed with their all-in-one 10x zooms :-), and are still fascinated and impressed by their digital watches.

very nice musing peter.. i think you are onto something!!

the problem is that high dynamic range and low megapixels don't sell cameras.. having more mp than the competition sells cameras.. (sigh)
