I have 2 questions regarding processing RAW images with the 20D:

1. Which of the software packages that ships with the 20d is best to use for processing RAW images?

2. Is the includedsoftware acceptable to use or isa third party softwae package a better option?

Thanks.

The free bundeled, Digital Photo Professional works quite well. (update it to the current version from Canon).

I much prefer Photoshop CS2.

Lin Evans is recommending an inexpensive package called PixBuilder Studio from http://wnsoft.com/ (I've never tried this one)

I never liked DPP and only used EOS Viewer Utility as far as the bundled Canon software goes. If you want something that is more powerful and is free, tryRawshooterEssentials. Thisis a very good product, which I used a bit until I purchased a copy of Photoshop CS2. The version of Adobe Camera Raw that came with CS2 is easy to use and is very powerful.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try the Canon software and look into the Photoshop once I get the $$.
