when i look thru the view finder my images appear to be out of focus, user AF its seems to be out of focus and using MF i cant get them to appear any more in foucs.

So i take the picture and all is fine.

Ive cleaned my lenses both of them do this.

ive cleaned the view finder.
Ive cleaned the glass on the lense mount.

Any suggestions?



equipment - 350d 18-55
sigma - 28 - 300

Any help much appreciated

Have you tried the diopter adjustment?

erm...are not sure what you mean? you mean the tiny dial next to the eye piece that changes the intensity of the metering focus block things? (i really should learn what they are and do)

It adjusts the focus of the eye piece so people who wear glasses don't have to wear them while shooting.

The kicker is that it isn't hard to adjust it by mistake (I do it on occasion) so everything looks out of focus but it isn't... the AF did work correctly.

Check the manual, I'm sure its described even better there.

ah thanks for that mate.



i will have a looksee at it and sort it altho i havent noticed any problems lately so i must have put it back in focus accidently
