I'm pretty sure they will but the hitachi compatibility list:

only mentions the 3k6 model.
Is this just an oversight and the 3k4-4 (4GB) model will be fine?

So horay, they will work. I wonder why Hitachi hasn't updated their list? Trying to drive sales towards their 3k6's instead?

the 6 gb drives are a bit more reliable then the 4's are and faster in the I/O dept. also at $238 at newegg you can't go wrong if its volume you're after.

i agree.. skip the 4.. get the 6, its more reliable, and will be worth it for sure...

Actually getting two 3k6-3 (3G) makes more sense than one 3k6-6 and they do not cost any extra!

Yeap - sometime one can have too much of a good thing...

1. downloading a 3G take less time
2. in a studio one shoot with one while downloading the other (or use two bodies)
3. redundancy - potentially you can only lose 1/2 the data
(dropping a $100 bill is less painful than $200) :-)
