I am new to the world of digital SLR's and have just purchased a Digital Rebel XT as my first one. I'd like to get away from the basic Zone settings and venture into the Creative Zone and maybe even manual settings. Specifically, I'd like to be able to know what ISO, aperture, etc. to use for different conditions. Can anyone point me to a guide that can specify this? I've bought several books and have searched the net, but all I can find is general advice.

May I suggest the book "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson? That's the one I learned the most from. Good luck! - Mary

Thanks for those tips. I'll look for that book on Amazon or see if they have it a B & N. Thanks again.
