Mine is silver. They didn't have any black ones anywhere around here when I bought it.

I am going to pick up the battery grip and an extra battery when I have a bit more cash to spend on photo gear.

I like both colours. They both have their pros and cons for sure. Can't go wrong!

Black, it's what they had in stock. The camera's color doesn't make me any better at taking photos (unfortunately)

Silver. Dell had the deal on the silver. Got it for $750.

No BG. Almost bought one but I have never needed the extra power so I decided not to. I have 2 extra ebay batteries that have served me well.

XT Black, No Grip,¬* No Extra batt. yet.¬* There is a trick to holding the XT, take a¬* breath¬* Grip it loosely with 3 or 4 fingers with the 4th or 5th finger spilling off the edge into oblivion aka off to the air at the bottom of the small camera that is the XT.¬*¬*Basically because the camera is so light it does not require a full¬* 5 finger fist grip.¬* It does take some trust and time to realize this.As long as your surverying might as well make it complete.¬*Canon 24-85mm, Hood, and B&W MC UV,¬* and crummy Samsonite bag that the camera+lens just fit into with the camera going in grip side up and lens attached.¬* ¬*Thought of getting a Crumpler not sure it would fit.

I picked up my 350D yesterday () and its silver. I didnt really have a preference. My dads Canon AE-1 is half silver and half black, so either way it was going to fit into the little Canon family that we have.

Its a little different having silver, because most people seem to go for the black!

Silver - I originally wanted the black but after seeing the silver model 'in the flesh' I changed my mind.
