Hi everyone,

I just purchased this battery online because it's rated at 1000mah which is greater than the stock Rebel XT battery and it's only $10

I was just wondering if it's safe to use a NB-2L battery instead of the stock NB-2LH??

Here is the link to the battery if anyone is wondering:

Hoping I'm safe to stick this in my rebel xt!

Yes, it's safe to use. Go ahead and get it.

It's just a higher capacity battery, the camera will still draw only as much current as it needs.

NB-2L will work as well. I have a battery grip, so it holds two. I have a NB-2L from my Powershot S50 and the NB-2LH from my XT in the grip.

I can't find a 2LH in a store, no matter how hard I try. Are they even sent to retailers? I don't want to spend %70 for Canon to ship me one.
