For all those with DSLR, do you have another smaller camera that you carry everywhere? Or do you always take your DSLR? Thanks

I have a small little Sony W1 that I use to carry with me. It's nice having one that fits into a ziplock bag when I go to the waterpark or six flags and the DSLR would just be excessive.

Reason for the W1: It was clearenced, has a large screen, and works. I would have preferred the canon S500 for a small, portable quick shooting camera, but the sony was so cheap it works. It prints 4x6s alright. It's not a 20D though....

If I was looking for an actual backup camera for situations where my 20D stopped working (for whatever reason), and size wasn't an issue, I'd probably do a rebel XT or another 20D.

Currently I have only one camera, a 300D, with plans to add a 350D sometime the first of 2006.

20D, Fuji S602 Pro for all-in-one and backup, Fuji MX1200 to slip in the pocket.

regards

panasonic fz5 but I am carrying less of it. If new canon 30D or whatever it is called is out next yr, then backup would be 10D.

I use my 20D for "serious" photography. My wife always carries her A75 in her purse for those times when the DSLR isn't around.

Thanks a lot guys. I currently have a Panasonic FZ5 but I am planning on a 350D with tax return money. I am thinking of buying a smaller camera this Christmas; the Fz5 is almost the same size as the DSLR.

Canon SD500/IXUS700 is a great little camera that my wife carries.

Sometimes I don't feel like carrying the 20D.
