Does anyone know of a utility (similar to IsoFix which works for Nikon files) to copy ISO datafrom Canon's proprietary location to the standard EXIF location?

There are definitely tools that will do it.
Heck, I bet that IsoFix can read all the EXIF data from the camera no matter what brand it is. It might not know what to do with it, but I'd expect it could read it.

I have one at home (exifer?) but I'm not sure on the name. I'll look it up when I get home.

When I run IsoFix against a folder with Canon files, it just reports for each file that it is not a Nikon file.

Then whoever wrote that tool should get a good talking to.

As a software writer myself, and a person who knows something about the JPEG standard.... there is no good reason to write an EXIF tool that only works on Nikon generated JPEGs. EXIF data is an industry standard, and while the tool might not be able to decode it, it can still read it and write it.

I know that exifer can handle any camera's data... it just won't label all the parts because it doesn't know what all the parts are.

I found and downloaded the Exifixer package and found that it is a PHP library. (I'd expected it to unzip to an exe file.)

I don't know what to do with a PHP library.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
