Hi,

I have found the custom setting on my 350d to enable seond curtain flash but when I use this with the built-in flash, it fires at the beginning and the end of my exposure - is there any way to stop this? I only want it to fire at the end. Does the on board flash have the ability?

Thanks,.

There is a pre-flash to remove red-eye.... and there can be one for auto-focus. Check to see if red-eye reduction is on.

I think there is another way to get a pre-flash... exposure metering? I don't remember.

The pre-flash for second curtain is for flash metering.
