My only concern of this is on the visual side... the flash still fits in snugly and does not move.
The lefts side of the flash sticks out while the right is pushed in .
When I apply pressure on the left side of it and push it in, it's only good for as long as I hold it and goes back to it's bad alligned position once I let go of it.
I wouldn't normally expect this from Canon with their quality inspections , I'm sure such issue( if spotted at the factory ) would have made this copy of the camera or at least some parts of it, a "reject"...am I right or wrong?
Any other XT owners with the same issue in their cameras?

I just sent mine in to be repaired because the flash would not pop up it will just click then give me a error. Then sometimes it clicks a few times then pops up. Hope yours works fine. Ron

mine works fine, sorry to hear about yours .
I don't get why they did it electronic (activating and popping out the flash) in the first place, a simple spring mechanism would have made things much more reliable and cheaper for Canon.
