Hey everyone,

I've run into two interesting problems.

1. The piece of glass or whatever it is that has the AF dot/squares on it has some hairs/fluff on it.. and I can't really find a way to get it off! Any advice? it's annoying to always see stuff when looking through the viewfinder (doesn't show up in any pictures)

2. I tried cleaning my 77mm uv filter with lens cleaner.. and now there's this purplish residue left all over it when I look from certain angles. I tried rubbing and everything but it won't come off. Have I ruined the filter? what do I do?

Thanks a lot!!

Doug

Take off the lens and clean the mirror, it might be on there.

Oh, I've already taken off the lens and blown/dusted the piece I can see... the hairs/dust are somewhere else. I think it might be up inside the top of the camera (looking in the lens hole) but that area is unreachable.

Any ideas for the filter?
