Hi

I just got my 30D and have a smudge in the view finder. Also i ahve two big round smudges in the sensor which i can clean it up. But for the view finder i dont know what to do.

Is it better to send it back to the stores for a replacement or clean it up with a canon store.

Please advice

I have almost 6 more days to return.

If you see a 'smudge' in your viewfinder it could very well be from something on your mirror. Check there first. Is it there with all your lenses? check front element on your lenses, but I doubt that is your problem.

You mentioned a smudge on your sensor which you intend to clean up. If this is your first attempt - be careful !! It is not a difficult job but use a light touch.
