I have a brand new 30D, and I noticed that the SET button rotates when I turn the Control Dial; however, it's not a 1-to-1 turn: if I turn the dial quickly, the SET button sometimes rotates with it and other times it doesn't. Is this normal operation. I would have expected the SET button not to rotate at all, but it seems erratic in the way that it's behaving.

I don't know if it was designed to do that (can't imagine why it would be) but mine does the same thing.

Good to know, thanks.

I was afraid that I had a defect on this expensive camera.
